Choose games that work around one table

A group of six to twelve can read prompts together and discuss the answers. Short guessing games and keepsake cards fit this setting well. You can still give a prize, but the conversation often becomes the best part.

Try Would Mommy Rather

Make predictions a keepsake

Give each guest a baby prediction card with a few guesses and space for a wish. Read a few funny or sweet answers only if guests are comfortable sharing, then save the cards for the family.

Play gift Bingo only if it fits

Gift Bingo is useful if presents are being opened in front of guests. With a small group, blank cards let everyone write their own guesses. If there is no gift opening, choose a caller-led Bingo version or another game instead.

Keep scoring gentle

With a small group, ties are common. Plan a tie-breaker question, give two small prizes or skip prizes altogether. Let people work in pairs if they would rather talk than compete.

Set up in minutes

• Print a card and bring a pen for each guest, plus a few spares.
• Keep the answer key with the host.
• Explain the rules in one or two sentences before starting.
• Choose one main game and an optional arrival activity; add another only if the group wants it.
